Free Social Media Image Resizer

Resize any photo to the exact size each platform asks for, free. No account, no watermark, and your photo never leaves your device.

How to resize an image for social media

To resize an image for social media, export it at the platform's exact pixel size: 1080 × 1350 for an Instagram portrait post, 2560 × 1440 for a YouTube banner, 1500 × 500 for an X header. The free resizer below does it in your browser for 12 platforms, and can fit the whole photo without cropping.
  1. Pick the platform and size. Choose the platform, then the spot you are filling: profile picture, banner, post, story, pin or thumbnail. The exact pixels are built in.
  2. Add your photo. Upload it, drop it on the preview, or paste it. It stays on your device.
  3. Frame it. Drag the photo and zoom to choose what shows, or press "Show the whole photo" to fit all of it with no cropping.
  4. Add words if you like. Type a headline and pick a style, or leave it empty for a plain resized photo. The overlay shows what the platform covers, like the profile photo on a banner.
  5. Download at the exact size. Download a PNG at the platform's exact dimensions, ready to upload.

Image resizer: FAQ

Is this social media image resizer free?

Yes. It is free, needs no account and adds no watermark. Pick the platform and size, add your photo and download it at the exact pixels.

Can I resize a photo without cropping it?

Yes. Press "Show the whole photo" and the entire photo fits inside the frame, with the leftover space filled by a soft, blurred copy of the same photo, so nothing gets cut off. Press "Fill the frame" to go back to a full-bleed crop you can drag and zoom.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. The resizer runs in your browser, so your photo never leaves your device. Nothing is sent to a server and nothing is stored.

Which platforms and sizes does it cover?

Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X (Twitter), Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Threads, Bluesky, Discord, Twitch and Snapchat: profile pictures, banners and covers, posts, stories, pins and thumbnails, each at the size the platform recommends for 2026.

Does resizing lower the quality?

Shrinking a large photo keeps it sharp; stretching a small one makes it soft, so start from the biggest version you have. Downloads are PNG, and a very large photo switches to a high-quality JPG so it stays under upload limits.

Can I add text to the image?

Yes, if you want to. Type your words and pick one of four styles (bars, clean, neon or script), then drag them where you want. Leave the words box empty for a plain resized photo.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. It runs in your phone's browser: pick a photo from your library, frame it and download it at the exact size.

What if I do not have the right photo?

Pick one of the built-in backgrounds, or have AI All Social paint the picture for you at the exact size. The AI side starts with a one-time $3.99 Starter Pack of 10 images, with no subscription.
