Free tear-off flyer template
Make a flyer with tear-off tabs here, free. Pick a lost pet, for rent, for sale or another design, type your name and number once, and every strip along the bottom gets it, with dashed lines to cut along. Download a print-ready PDF at true Letter or A4 size.
How to make a tear-off flyer
- Pick a design. Start from Lost dog, For rent, For sale or another starter. Every design on this page already has tear-off tabs along the bottom.
- Type the words for the tabs. Under Tear-off tabs, type a name and a number once. Every strip gets the same words, turned on their side so they run the length of the tab.
- Fill in the rest of the flyer. Change the headline and the lines above the tabs, add a photo if you have one, and add a REWARD burst, a price tag or a QR code.
- Download and print. Download the PDF and print it at 100% (Actual size), so the tabs come out the size you see.
- Cut the tabs. Cut along each dashed line up to the long dashed line across the page. Now every strip pulls off cleanly.
Where a tear-off flyer works
- Lost pets. Someone who spots your pet later still has your number in a pocket, not just a memory of a poster.
- Rentals and roommates. People reading a notice board take a tab and call when they are ready to see the place.
- Lessons and local services. Piano lessons, tutoring, lawn care, dog walking, babysitting: a tab turns a glance into a call.
- Things for sale. A car, a couch or a bike on a community board, with the price on the flyer and the number on every tab.
What to write on the tabs
Short words stay large. A dot between two parts puts them on two lines on every tab.
| Flyer | On every tab |
|---|---|
| Lost dog | Biscuit · your number |
| For rent | 2 bed on Oak St · your number |
| For sale | Bike $80 · your number |
| Lessons | Piano lessons · your number |
| Lawn care | Mowing · your number |
Tear-off flyers: FAQ
Is this tear-off flyer template free?
Yes. It is free, with no sign up and no watermark. Download it as a PDF to print or a PNG to share.
How many tear-off tabs does it make?
10 tabs on US Letter and A4, 6 on half letter and 13 on Letter landscape. Each tab is about 0.85 in wide and 1.65 in long, which leaves room for a name and a phone number in large type.
What should I write on the tabs?
A name and a phone number, or a short web address. For a lost pet, the pet's name and your number. For a rental, the street and your number. Under about 25 characters keeps the words large; a dot (·) between two parts puts them on two lines.
Can I make a tear-off flyer in Word or Google Docs instead?
You can, by building a table along the bottom of the page and turning the text in each cell sideways, which takes a while to line up. Here the tabs, the turned words and the cut lines are drawn for you at the exact paper size.
Will the tabs print all the way to the edge?
The cut lines run to the edge of the page, and the words on every tab stay inside the quarter-inch print margin, so a home printer prints all of them.
Can I add a QR code too?
Yes. Tap QR code and paste a link, like the full listing or a map. People who do not take a tab can scan the code instead.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. The template runs in your browser, so your photo stays on your device. Nothing is sent to a server and nothing is stored.
