Free Wi-Fi QR code generator

Make a QR code that joins your Wi-Fi. Type the network name and password once, and guests point their phone camera at the code to connect, with no typing and no spelling out the password. Print it as a Wi-Fi sign, or download a PNG or SVG.

A Wi-Fi QR code holds your network name, password and security type in one line, like WIFI:T:WPA;S:Cafe Guest;P:your-password;;. iPhones and Android phones read it with the built-in camera and offer to join. This one is made in your browser, so your password never leaves your device, and it never expires.

How to make a Wi-Fi QR code

  1. Find your network name and password. They are usually on a sticker on the router, or in your router's app. Use your guest network if you have one.
  2. Type them in. Type the network name and the password exactly as they are, capital letters included. WPA2 / WPA3 covers nearly every home, cafe and office router.
  3. Make it yours. Pick a color, add your logo and a frame that says SCAN FOR WI-FI.
  4. Test it. Point your phone camera at the preview and join. The maker also reads the code back and shows Scan checked.
  5. Print a Wi-Fi sign. Tap Put it on a flyer or a sign: the flyer maker opens with FREE WI-FI and your code, ready to print at Letter or A4 size.

Wi-Fi QR codes: FAQ

Is my Wi-Fi password sent anywhere?

No. The code is made in your browser, so the network name and password stay on your device. Nothing is sent to a server and nothing is stored.

Does a Wi-Fi QR code work on iPhone?

Yes. Open the Camera app, point it at the code and tap Join. Android phones do the same from the camera or Google Lens.

Can people who scan it see my password?

Anyone with the code can join, and some phones show the password once they have joined. That is why a guest network is the best one to share: your own devices stay on the main network.

What if I change my Wi-Fi password?

The code holds the password inside it, so make a new code and print it again. It takes a minute here.

Does a Wi-Fi QR code expire?

No. It holds the network name and password itself, so it works for as long as they stay the same.

Can I add my logo or a frame?

Yes. Add your logo in the middle and a frame that says SCAN FOR WI-FI. The code switches to its strongest error correction with a logo, so it still scans.

Why does my phone not join?

Check that the network name and password match exactly, capitals and spaces included, and that the security type is right. Tick Hidden network if your network does not show up in the phone's Wi-Fi list.

Can I print a Wi-Fi sign?

Yes. Tap Put it on a flyer or a sign and the free flyer maker opens with FREE WI-FI, your network name and the code, ready to print as a PDF at Letter or A4 size.

A code for something else?

The free QR code generator makes codes for links, contact cards, email, calls, text messages, words and map spots, with the same logo, colors and frames. To print a sign, the free flyer maker puts your code on a page with a headline and a print-ready PDF.
